Dance New Zealand
As a leadership organization, they aim to act as a voice for dance in NZ. They provide information and support services to those who are working dance, whether that be teachers or other professions and even the workplace as well.
Strengths:
- Being able to provide that diverse cohort, by looking at dance through another culture
- The inclusiveness of the programs it has can help teachers get ideas for their classes to help students who may struggle physically
Weaknesses:
- Having to pay for the services, to help you get the teacher resources which can make it difficult for teachers
- The education resources for dance seem to be very limited, which can be hard for teachers to gain any access to help with their own classes

KET Education
It provides a range of services for all ages across the educational background; they also provide a range of resources that are accessible not only teachers but also for caregivers and parents.
Strengths:
- They can provide a wide range of resources for the teachers to access and be able to use within the classroom.
- The website is easily accessible and easy to maneuver around, but also easy to link with some of the resources provided by them
Weaknesses:
- There is a lack of professional learning opportunities for teachers that seek to further their knowledge in a certain aspect
- Only have a few subject-based resources available to use, which can be hard for specialist teachers that may look for ideas for classes

Bangarra
It is one of Australia’s leading performing arts companies, and is led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island professional dancers, and look to create work through theatre, dance, poetry etc. The work created on country are returned to the place where they were made, they also provide educational resources for teachers to use within the classroom.
Strengths:
- Providing educational resources for all year levels and being able to show the other resources if they do get stuck on it
- The material for diverse cohort is well looked at as they tend to explore First Nations people, which can give an insight for teachers to further their knowledge
Weaknesses:
- It can be hard to link the curriculum with activities that are being done
- Also, it can be a touchy subject for student of First Nations people, because of their cultural knowledge, so that must be taken into consideration when selecting the activity

AUS Dance
Australia’s peak body for dance, they continue to design and deliver accessible and sustainable services to support Australian dance. It is a national for dance and dance education within Australia and continue to identify and promote diverse forms of dance and dance practices.
Strengths:
- It provides a wide range of resources for teachers to access, and how each article can expand their knowledge of dance in the curriculum.
- Represents how learning dance as a teacher can be beneficial for the classroom
- Also shows how dance is done globally, which gives the opportunity for teachers to explore it.
Weaknesses:
- It doesn’t have specific lesson plans, but only talks about dance in education
- The resources are too broad and don’t really help the teachers with creating lesson plans
- Can be a bit hard to navigate properly
