Lesson Plan (Health and PE)

1.      Using basic motor movements to create a beat in small groups

2.      Splitting into small groups of 5 to work on the task

3.      The basic movements they will use are jump, hop, run, walk or stomp.

4.      Then come in front of the class to present

5.      See what motor skills that are being used in their performances.

Dance

Lesson plan (Science)

1.      Covering the content of the 7 planets around the sun

2.      Working out how far each planet is from the sun

3.      Breaking into table groups and each table is given a planet

4.      They are to get their movement sheet for their planet

5.      In order of distance the planets they are to perform their dance

6.      After the class performances to then discuss as a class what happens to the planets due to their distance away from the sun

Media Arts

Lesson Plan (English)

1.      The students will create a short comic book about themselves

2.      Get students to think of the plot and setting of their story

3.      Then get them to draft each of their panels with some writing and art

4.      Students design their comic using the panels provided by the teacher

5.      Students finish their comics

6.       Present their finished product to the class

Drama

Lesson plan: Humanities

1.      The students will be given historic events throughout Australia’s history and be able to perform a play for the class in small groups

2.      They will be given the roles that will be played in each historic event

3.      After they have performed, the other students will explain the context of their performance and what event they had done

4.      And thus, place them on a timeline in chronological order of when they believe had happened

Visual Arts

Lesson Plan (Maths)

1.      Exploring the attributes of 2D shapes.

2.      The students will be given pre-cut 2D shapes and be able to make puppets of the shapes they are given in their tables.

3.      Once they can make their puppets as a table group, they will come up with a way using their puppets to describe an attribute of a shape given by the teacher.

4.      Performing the play in front of the class.
