It is also a reflection of diversity within the US; they also present world-class art by artists that have shaped society’s culture today and continue to drive arts education opportunities.

    Strengths:

    -          The website has strong educational and outreach programs to help us use arts in education

    -          It has detailed programs that align with certain content at both national and local levels.

    Weaknesses

    -          There can be a lot of text when reading certain aspects of the website, which may be harder for older people that may investigate it.

    -          Since it being a US, the application of the Victorian curriculum can be difficult

  • National Gallery of Victoria

    : Provides the opportunity to share stories, histories, ideas and experiences     of the global community. While being able to create a memorable and accessible experience for all. Shares information of events coming up but also provides online resources for educational purposes and public engagement.

    Strengths:

    -          The vast collection of information they have on the website, which gives you the opportunity to really explore what you are looking for.

    -          Providing education resources for specific subjects and being able to explore the artist as well in the classroom.

    Weaknesses:

    -          The website can be a bit difficult to navigate, which can lead to struggles to find out about things such as past or upcoming exhibitions

    -          Outdated information on the website even though it gets updated a lot, some of the past information which can make it confusing and frustrating for the user.

    -          There seems to be lack of educational resources for visual arts

  • Australian Centre For Contemporary Art

    Plays a critical role in supporting artistic and wider communities, also leading the cultural conversation and setting the agenda for contemporary art. Has a long history in propelling the careers of young artists as well.

    Strengths:

    -          The website is very easy to get around and can be easy to navigate what you are looking for.

    -          Provides information for upcoming exhibitions and programs that may be coming up for teachers to use in class

    Weaknesses:

    -          Lacks an educational resource for teachers willing to add visual arts into their classrooms

    -          Having to register your interest in the resources to use in your own classes, where some websites provide it for free

  • ARC

    It’s a digital platform that provides Victorian teachers with curriculum-aligned resources along with professional learning opportunities for teachers as well, providing these services on safe and reliable software and technology.

    Strength:

    -          Very accessible for teachers, and the lesson plans that are given are based around the Victorian curriculum

    -          Also provides professional learning developments in certain subject areas, the only one on the site is for science

    Weaknesses:

    -          There isn’t really a way for teachers to imply the arts-based approach in their classes as there are no lesson plans for them.

    -          Lacks materials for diverse cohorts
